Ck27 fel control

Is there a simple way to slow down flow. I am not in a hurry and if I could slow flow down by 20-30% the loader would be a lot less jerky and I wouldn't have to feather the control.

Sure, a flow control valve from here.

Surplus Center - 1/2 NPT 15 GPM PRINCE WNV-800 NEEDLE VALVE

Could also use a restricted orifice. Just bore the hole size you need or go by a hyd shop and ask for a hose fitting restrictor.

Some fittings are made as restricted fittings.

I have the same tractor as you. It takes some practice, but if you're easy on the FEL control, it shouldn't be that jerky.

I'd have to agree with miramader. If you let yourself get use to it, controlling the fel will become much better. I was a little jerky with mine at first but as time went on, I learned how to feather it to do what I wanted. There are times now that I wish it had a faster cycle rate.
If you really want to the fel slowed down, either of J J's ideas will work for you. If height of the joystick wasn't a problem, you could extend the shaft making your hand movements provide less reaction on the valve and still have full speed when you wanted it. I'm just not sure how long the extension would have to be for it to comfortable for you.

I was pretty rough and "bouncy" with my FEL initially but you learn pretty fast to move the control super slow to smooth it out. It really didn't take me very long at all to get a lot faster with the loader and/or the grapple. It's just time and experience. I still bounce it around at times but it's fewer and farther between anymore. It's all good!
