I don't really know what's causing your problems, however, I suspect that the belt was either no installed properly or was not adjusted to the proper tension. Too tight or too loose can wear the belt too quickly. As for the pin, I've lost pins from my ROPS support bolts (for folding) because of working where brush could get ahold of it, and also in the pin that holds my drawbar on. The drawbar used a hairpin as well, and I replaced it with a lynch pin, but soon discovered that something had pulled the locking ring back and the pin fell out again. There are just times when "something" gets ahold just right and pulls out your pins. That's why I now have a huge supply of different types of pins on hand. Best of luck, John
