Are you sure that's not anything over 25,999? Here in Florida, the whole rig can weigh under 26,000 you only need a class D CDL.

I have checked with a PA (Even though I live in Ohio) state trooper and he did not have a problem with it. There is a chain with lever binder in all 4 corners (I did not trust straps with the weight of this load. I used to haul forklifts (under 10k) for a guy who would have killed me if I ever used a strap, insisted forks be facing backwards, chains on all 4 corners). The only problems that I could possibly encounter is the bucket not being secured down and with the BH on I secure the hoe with the transport pins.

I only have brakes on the front axle which in extreme emergency braking might not be enough. (Not counting when I go to PA where they require brakes on all axles).

I'm talking about the trailer.You could use a honda civic with a trailer hitch,If your trailer # is over 10k you need a CDL class A

Here in Cali, if the TRAILER you are pulling is rated OVER 10,000 lbs. you need a "class A". I know a guy who was using a 12,000 lb. trailer to haul equipment and got a ticket for not having a class A, he has since down sized to a 10,000.
