I installed a engine block coolant heater on my 2006 CK 30. Drain out the coolant and remove a block freeze plug. I installed the heater into the block with a little permatex sealant and your all finished. I used a deep well socket with an extension to act as a driver for the install into the block. Plug in the power and it heats up the coolant and makes starting easy on cold days.

No, it doesn't have the block heater from the factory.

I contacted Kioti about my adding a internal block heater thru a freeze plug on my DK45, and they told be that it would void the warranty. Thye did tell me i could add either a magnetic unit OR a glue on type heater, but NOT a freeze block model.

They did not specify why. I asked my dealer about that, and he also told me that they dont make a freeze block heater suitable for the DK series.

I dont know how this relates to the ck series, but you may want to contact Kioti USA and ask.
They are real good about responding to emails.

Kioti has given my name out to other dealers in the past to supply them with block heaters.

I have installed tons of them, sold tons of them, and continue to install them.
I'm quite sure they said that because you next question to them would have been...What is the part #? And they wouldn't have an answer.

Well thats weird. Why did they tell me that then? My dealer told me to contact Kioti directly and ask before i ordered one. Kioti emailed me back not to install one????

I think removing the freeze plug on an engine should void the warranty. You are now messing with a vital part of the engine that could easily cause loss of coolant and overheating which I certainly wouldn't cover if I were Kioti after seeing someone removed the freeze plug.

Just use an inline coolant hose heater, mine has worked great for years down to -20F.

I wont argue with you, i just wish either my dealer or Kioti told me this before i spent $150.00 on 3 glue on heaters. makes me kinda mad.

I've got a couple of comments on this. Going with the Magnussen-Moss act.....if youre installation fo the aftermarket heater caused the failure then yes, the warranty is void. If the dealer voids the warranty on your front axle because of a block heater....then they just don't want to do warranty work. Find another dealer.

Secondly, with a block heater, you're brining the engine up to normal operating temperature sooner. It's actually much easier on the engine. Why do you think diesel trucks come with them from the factory? I even have a block heater on my Subaru and the car starts great, shifts better, and purrs like a kitten even when it's just downright frigid out.

Thirdly, my dad has a Kioti CK30H. (I've got a Case/IH...and yes...with a heater.) I'd like to find the part number for the block heater. Anyone had success with finding that? Also, how bad is the installation on it? Thanks!!!!

I have an inline heater in the lower rad hose, my dealer can't find a proper block heater to fit, but it works great, just takes a little longer. From this earlier post, I'd try calling a Bobcat dealer.

My dealer installed block heater for me. He did initally express some concern of knocking out a frost plug (potential for leakage, etc.)but I left it up to him to decide between an inline coolant heater or the block heater and it showed up with the block heater. I haven't used it yet or even looked to see where it actually is, but I guess I'll check it for leakage next time out.

Waht tractor do you have? Bobcat has block heater kits. Give me your tractor model and I will give the part number. I think the reason Kitoi is reluctant to go with the block heater is 2 reasons:
1. To obtain clearance for the heater coil in the block, not restict water flow and keep the coil from contacting inner surface of cylinder wall, the heater should be mounted to an adapter to hold the heat coil out somewhat.
2. On some model engines this (#1 adapter) interferes with the dipstick. Bobcat has the kit for the adapter and different offset dipstick tube for the models that need it.

You may want to call Rick Wallace, Wallace tractors who posted earlier on this thread with his link. He now carries Bobcat but used to be Kioti dealer. He and his staff would definately know what will fit best and probably could UPS the heater. He's on the Eastern side of Pennsylvania.

Bobcat has both a lower radiator and engine block heater available.
Your looking at about $40 for the radiator and about $70 for the block.
I have a aftermarket block heater that I have installed for over 8 years without any issues. We sell them for $45.95
My preference has always been the block heater.
