What if?

What if you get struck by lightning?
What if you get killed in a bank robbery?
What if the plane you are in crashes?

What if covers a LOT of things that aren't going to happen to MOST people.

It sure does. What if you’re walking across your yard and a tree falls on you doesn’t mean you should drag out the chainsaw and a ladder and cut big limbs. What if you might crash on your way to work doesn’t mean you should drive the wrong way.

First impressions are that everything works. But there are a few nicks, dings and scrapes. If it was a car, I'd be ticked, but since it's not, I'll get over it. I'm sure there will be a lot more. Headlights are powered with the key off, so I'll have to make sure they're off. Main gripe was no fuel. Empty. Enough to get it off the truck and up my drive, play a bit, then run over to the neighbor's to scarf off his tank. We trade tasks back and forth, so it'll all work out. Need to get a barrel set up so I don't have to worry about those things.

Nics and scratches and a almost no fuel, that says something about that dealer.. Did they switch machines form the one you thought you had purchased? Or did you just not notice the blemishes at the dealer when looking at it?

IMO that is unconscionable for a dealer-new vehicle.

The seller of my used tractor stopped on his way to deliver it (which he offered to do, at no charge) and FILLED the tank for me. That was above and beyond for a used tractor, but a NEW one should be full. Or at least half full!

I’d guess they keep them empty to prevent fuel theft off the lot. I wouldn’t loose much sleep over it. I also won’t use other people’s fuel. It’s too likely to have crap in it.

First tractor I bought (TC35DA) had a golfball in the tank like the rest that were on the lot.. Glad someone bought one or two of them before me at least they had it figured out before I got too involved trying to fix it..
