Hi Folks

I own a 2008 YTO , 70 hp , I purchased this tractor new , maintain 20 acres of field and 180 acre woodlot . I am very happy with my chinese tractor , like a lot of people it was the price that made my choice to purchase a YTO. I purchased from a local dealer, I have 500 hours on it , the only thing I have purchased for it are lubricants and filters. Being mechanically inclined is an asset , when I purchased new it was assembled at dealership ,I still was able to find multiple stupid issues, such as dash instruments not being plugged in, main tractor wiring harness has many identical plugs , a few wires were actually plugged in wrong places.
These issues aside I am happy with my tractor,I could not afford a new brand name tractor.
I use a BH,bush hog, potato digger, tiller,I plow snow on 2 miles of private road with a county snowblade.
I would purchase same tractor again,I grew up always having farm tractors around me , I would give my YTO a high rating.
I live in SouthWest New Brunswick. Tractor 0010.jpg

i just looked at the nortrac tractors on the northern tool site. you can probably pic up a new leftover name brand tractor for close to what they are asking with better dealer network and financing options.

... Tier 4 is comming... you know what thats gonna mean for Chinese tractors? My prediction is that in 2-3 years the companies selling and supporting these will be gone.

does "tier 4" mean the same as EPA IV(4)??? if so the engines in the 50hp and lower jinma's and foton's are already EPA IV diesel engines.

That is due to it being Nortrac Branded. These tractors are all bassically a Jinma or Foton. Buy from the right dealer and it can be 1/3 less.

To give you a idea, I bought a brand new Jinma 284 assembled and serviced with a FEL and 5' King Kutter finish mower as a package deal for $9,500 out the door.

My personal choice is to not buy anything (if possible) from china. Good luck with your shopping.

You may be correct, but I doubt it. Of course if this does happen it'll be great for the brand names, then can really gouge prices with no low ball competition. Even you folks that hate the chinese machines should be thankfull they're around, in away they've helped you're purchase power.
