great link. I now see how the pulley system would work on it. For some reason I had imagined the cable .(one) running down the outside of the chimney.
Looks to me the part that would fail first would be the cable, and thats easily replaced.One question Id have is the bush left at the furthest point on top of the chimney? Or left just below where the thimble goes in?
If its left there the natural dropping would build up above the brush.The top bracket does look as though it is high enough to allow the brush to sit up top when not in use.
