New here just got a jd 950 the left rear seems do do all the work How do I check to see whats up? thanks

Why do you think the left rear is doing all the work? Does it pull to the right (going forward)?
First, try using your differential lock...both wheels pulling then?


Was it doing this when you tested the tractor (before you bought it)?
It's possible you have a rear brake sticking....might be better thread on the left tire. Or, might be nothing at all.

thank you for the responce I tested it on pavement and it seemed fine in reverse in dirt the left digs and digs the diferential lock is broken off there is no foot petal ty

I had a JD 950. The left always pushes until you engage the differential when pushing/ pulling heavy material.

FWIW, I use the differential only in dire need, or hardly ever.

Can you weld a new "L" piece on the broke diff. pedal arm? or better yet, get a new replacement.

with the left spinning, step on the left brake if it has split brakes.. does it stop digging and you start moving magically?

if so.. your diffy is working as designed...
