I too looked 790 before getting L3000DT. I am tall also and found 790 cramped. L3010 is better than L3000 in terms of room. My only gripe w/3000 is my big right foot can get hooked on brake when dismounting. Dooh!
you could send a note to Gary In Indiana and ask him for ideas. He's a veteran member and also a very large tractor man. I think he's got a JD4200 that seems to fit his 6'8"+ frame.
