My opinion is that you should get a "snoopy and the red baron" sheet and install that.

It would look snazzy!!!

Be careful on a windy day, you might get whiplash from the sheet!!

Don't get me wrong.. I've done quite a bit of down and dirty engineering as well.... usually to get out of a pinch, or to get a job done / meet a deadline, etc.. Ocassionally I even go back and retrofit my monstrosities to be more aesthetically pleasing... some stay cobbled up because they work, and like you point out... I just don't care. Kind of like the 6' frankenstein disc I use.. it is an oldoldold ford disc... I have cobbled on it and welded, chained, bolted on it to the extent that it now works good.. but I would be embarrised to loan it out.. etc.

In fact, if i get home early enough, i'll post a pic of it... just don't laugh.. it is a real POS.. ( but it works!... and was free! )

Superb! Having been to places like Saudi Arabia I can say I've seen much more impressive improvising to escape the sun. There you'll see a Bangladeshi strap a matress to the top of his ROPS to keep from getting baked...temp is about 130 F. Try that...you'll make the evening news!

Seriously, I like it and understand it. Recommend a piece of plywood and a can of red paint to finish the project. As a matter of fact I'm thinking of putting one on my Farmtrac 60.

I hear ya'! I have been to the arab desert many times, some of the engineering I have seen over there makes you wonder how they survive very long!

Chet, It looks great and you'll probably keep from contracting a melanoma on the back of your neck.... Nice Job!

BTW, when are you going to build me one??? I'll put a thick piece of painted (say, some kind of polarized color) plexiglass over the top /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

shower curtains are cheap, come in all sorts of colors, and water proof...some even have fancy designs on em..i agree about the hard to choke down the price they want for that hard top..so far, i've just used a big hat...but i'm a needin a bigger one.....
