If you're referring to the large metal canister suction filter under the right side, yes, you remove the whole canister out from under the tractor and then separate the end from the can and replace the cartridge filter inside. I unbolt it from the side of the trans, bracket & all. Be careful with the 90 degree rubber elbow hose at the rear of the canister that connects to the trans case - that hose is a different size on each end and not easily acquired. This filter is the suction side filter going from the trans case to the 2 hydraulic pumps, be careful not to allow any debris to get to the pumps when servicing this filter assy.
