ChainSaw & Pine Tree Sap?

Ok...so I had to cut down a medium sized pine tree yesterday, and cut it up. My problem is my chainsaw is clogged with pine sap. Any suggestions on getting the pine sap off? What desolves pine sap easily and efficiently?

i'm not sure about this but i would try wd-40.

Carb Cleaner
brake cleaner (which i bet is the same thing as carb cleaner only packaged differently)
WD-40 works wonders (mostly kerosene, so kerosene would work too)

Use gasoline and an old paint brush to scrub away the pine gum.
