Chainsaw holder project for my Kubota

I'll bet a lot of us would benefit from a chainsaw carrier. Putting saws in the bucket can be risky- luckily I have escaped doing damage, but sooner or later... Another project!

Yes....its metal. Kindof a design flaw, but if you slide it in easily it doesn't effect the teeth. Besides, it gave me an excuse to get a chainsaw blade sharpener from Harbor Freight!!:cool2:

even if you slide the bar into the mount carefully, the saw is still bouncing around and the bar is slapping side to side down in the pocket as you are operating the tractor. this seems like a recipe to damage the chain (in terms of deforming or chipping the cutting edges) and/or bar (in terms of deforming the guide rails).

IMHO -- size the saw holder pocket to accept the OEM scabbard, or use a holder material which won't beat the crap out of the chain and bar.
