Chain saws.

/ Chain saws. #21
Really appreciate the advice, it sounds like my problems come from sitting too long. I was under the impression that the two stroke mix contained stable. That's my first mistake. I'll get a carb kit and install it today, as well as a new bar and chain. But as it's my only saw I believe I'll shop around for a back up saw. And in the future I'll do a lot more preventive maintenance.

Last week I gave my neighbour my old McCullough Pro Mac 850 because I was sick of fixing it. When the conversation turned to my new Husqvarna 346 XP he warned me never to leave fuel in it. "Those new Huskys have such small ports in their carburetors that if one gets plugged from old fuel you might as well take it off and buy a new one. I always run mine dry towards the end of the day and finish up cutting with an old McCullough."
