Nice idea! I've been trying to come up with some way to keep log chains with the tractor and your pics have got the wheels churning! Thanks.

I'm glad the post helped you. It is rewarding to see that someone used it. Before I had the loader I put one box on each side, bolted to the clutch bellhousing FEL mount holes.

Now you need two more. Two long chains and one 8' chain is just right.

frankie14001: ........Great post /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I'm sure many owners will say
why didn't I think of that /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

For all the smaller B series Kubota, I've included my
( portable/removable from it's subframe) version of a chain box.
Thanks for starting this post /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif ....RayBee

I borrowed the same design and mounting location from a prior TBN posting. Looks almost identical. Also painted it Kubota orange. Its beginning to look like Kubota OEM!

Neat idea guys. I've lost 3 chains by bouncing them out of the FEL. Found 2 with the bush hog, never did find the third one ... probably buried it somewhere. Looks like I've got myself another rainy day project.

You won't really appreciate the rectangulat tubing on the loader frame until you step of the tractor and the chain is literally at your finger tips. You can graps it without stopping.

The way you store the chain affects how easily it comes out. If you put the chain back by hooking one hook over the edge first, then putting the chain in and finally set the end hook on the edge, close to the seat. When you grab and pull the close hook gravity helps and the chain comes out fast. Almost like a real fast snake!

I carry three chains.
