Ok.. I measured.. sort of.. My thumb is .910 inches wide. It fits. The tape measure it 1.440 it does not fit between the tire and the piece of metal that covers the wiring on the fender. I would put the minimum distance at about 1.250 or so.. so with your 2.250 inches.. If that is what you have, then you have NO problem.

No James, at your leisure, when you get the chance. Just wondering if 2 1/4" would be sufficient with the Aquiline's. I'd be tight at the inside fender rib.
