We live in a valley with no direct line of sight for the tower. Thats the only thing I can think of that maybe causes this.
My son is in the process of setting up a 4g wifi in our detached garage. He bought a cheap directional antenna and attached it directly to his router. He can download and watch videos easily on this set up.
Once he gets it completely set up and it proves to be consistent the Hughsnet will be gone.

I have that kind of set up. Works great if you have good signal. I am on an AT&T business plan. We consistantly get 15 MB up and 5-10 down. Wife and I can both watch streaming tv at the same time with no issues. I am not sure a third stream would work without slowing the system down. Lag time is very good at around 50ms.

Get on the starlink wait list. I am on it but allegedly late 2022 until we get it. I expect that to push back if the war in Ukraine continues. Elon is shipping dishys to Ukraine as a priority since Russia keeps trying to kick their internet down.
