When operating at high-enough rpms for digging power, the swing speed is too fast for my novice experience. Wonder if it's possible to install flow control (reducers) between each valve and it's swing cylinder? Northern Hydraulics list one with adjustable flow one way and unrestricted the other which would seem to fit the bill.

There are also washer like restrictors with a small hole in them to limit flow. They fit into a hose fitting.

A needle valve could also limit flow from low flow to wide open.
