CC i1042 Value

I am looking at a used 2008 CC i1042 with 10 hours, being offered for $1800. Is this a reasonable deal? I see that TSC offers a new CC 1040 for $1450. Is this a comparable machine. Seems the i1042 is over priced. Can anyone comment?

the i1042 machine is different from the ltx1040 in several areas, like steering, trannies, etc. . Can't really compare them apples to apples. Best to get detailed specs on both first. Try tractordata.

So it would seem the 1040 currently offered by TSC is an inferior machine and thus the $1800 being asked by the seller of the i1042 is in the ball park. It only has 10 hours. Would that be a a fair statement?

some don't like the i1042's heavy steering. other's don't like the ltx1040's cvt tranny. yer nickel.
