Just bought a 2544 with the 3 bag collection system. The dealer said he put a high lift blade on the exit of the mower deck but did not give me the blade they took off. Do I need this blade to mulch or will the high lift blade work OK? Looks like a really nice tractor and will try out today.

I dont understand that as well. The machine with deck comes with one set...the bagger is the optional piece and as far as I know also comes with a set - or they suggest the high lift blades. Blades are cheap and I feel the high lift blades are the way to go - even without the bagger

If they didn't charge you for that single hi-lift blade, I guess it's just an even swap /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. The cut quality should be fine bagging, mulching or blowing. You'll have a alittle more discharge air pressure at the shute with that blade positioned their. It would be nice to have the factory blade to put back on to compare, but I'd bet you wouldnt notice a difference. Congrats on the 2544! I'm lovin' mine.

The tripple bagger for the GT2544 comes with 1 high lift blade which is swaped out with the existing far right blade of the deck. The blade on the deck which was removed is yours, not the dealers. There is no exchange or core on this blade.
