I was using my Cat 303.5 Mini Excavator this week when the a track link snapped.
Can these links be purchased separately without buying an entirely new and expensive track?
Can I find a link for a 303.5 or compatible Cat in a used or salvage yard? Any names to try?
I noticed that each of my links are riveted by an approximately one inch diameter rivet. If I grind and knock out this rivet, can I replace this rivet with a grade 8 bolt and nylock nut to hold the link in place?
Any suggestions or hints on how to repair my track would be greatly appreciated.
