Appreciate it guys this will help, iam having issues trying to find ser#'s on this thing as the panel is gone that tag is on, my dash looks different the the other i see, mine has a smaller tach on it ,I believe a non case loader, 4' bucket and the ser# for the trans is right behind the hyd valves and the engine ser# is behind an adapter plate for the loader

The ser. # on my 310B I had was on the cowling ahead of the dash, and was missing too. Case was notorious for changing parts in a production run at certain serial number breaks. Thank goodness some engineer had intuition enough, that at least the parts I needed had a part number either stamped, or cast into it.
I actually purchased it, believing it was a 530, as it had 530 decals on it. I happened to run across the page I listed above for the 530. I didn't realize it was a 310B, until I ran some part numbers found on the tractor, but didn't match the part numbers listed in the parts manual for the 530 through Google, and found certain parts only fit a 310B. At that time, Case actually was using an agricultural tractor, and added the loader and backhoe. Once I discovered that, I went to the Case/IH AG. site, to look for many part numbers.
