I have a Case 3206 rotary mower that has had work done to the gearboxes on it. I used it another season and this season the rotary cutters spin fine until they engage some grass to cut. Then they just stop. The PTO is fine, the belts are turning to the gearbox input, and the shaft is turning into the gearbox. If you stop the tractor and rotate the cutters by hand, all appears to be connected, as the PTO shaft will be turned by this action. Does anyone have a shop manual and or parts book for the gearboxes for this machine?

Does your mower have a slip clutch? Probably near the gearbox, mounted to the pto shaft?

If it does, it would be internal to the gearbox. There is not an external slip clutch. The shaft into the gearbox is turning.
