3-Point Hitch Case 1394 3 point not working

Hello all, I'm a new member here, hoping someone can offer some suggestions;
I just bought a Case 1394 (mid 80's, diesel, 65 pto h.p.) She's a little rough cosmetically, but runs good, and the loader works well, with plenty of lifting power. I have a manual on the way via ebay, but meanwhile.........
My problem is the 3 point hitch lower arms will not go up. They are in the 'down' position, and I can lift them up by hand, but
when I pull back on either of the control levers, the engine bogs slightly but nothing else happens.

Any ideas?

Check if the linkage from 3 point lever is connected to the valve. Also if for some reason your 3 point hydraulic is plumbed after loader or remote outlets the loader and remote control valve has to be in neutral position for 3 point to work. Normally 3 point is plumbed first and remotes and loader from power beyond so this is just a unlikely possibility.

My 1494 has a small push/pull rod left side of the seat that diverts hydraulic fluid or isolates it to the loader. Sometimes it gets knocked into the wrong position and I think there is a problem until I recycle that rod.

Hoping to have a look at the tractor tomorrow if time permits, will advise.
