Can't get her started...HELP!

I replaced the battery on my 1070. Started right up Friday. Today, not so much. I am getting the lights, then a loud click, then noting...no lights, no more clicks. I can disconnect the + lead, turn the key...lights, then big click again, then same thing - nothing. It sounds as if something is grounding out when I turn the key. Any suggestions, similar experiences, voodoo cures?

Does your tractor have a self resetting circuit breaker? That might be the noise you are hearing and it is resetting when it cools down. Would indicate a bad short somewhere.

Fixed! Turns out it was a loose battery terminal connector. A quick trip down the parts store and $2.29 later, it's starting and running fine. It was loose enough to cause the battery to arc with the loose connector and ground out. Now to replace the switch for the lights....
