Can Not Upload PDF Files

I can not upload PDF files in the thread poster. The file size is way below the size limitation and no matter what I do I can't get the Manage Attachments to accept the PDF file. Is anyone else having this trouble?

P.S I have also tried to turn in a support ticket to the site and it to is not working. Does anyone know what is going on with this site right now??

Edit, works for me... Do you click on "Go Advanced"? and try to upload it there? Is this from a computer or a smartphone??

Hey Old and tired,

It's from a laptop and no I didn't click "Go Advanced" because I was trying to start a thread. Is there something I am missing here?

Go advance, bottom right... See photos (which are backwards so start at the right side and go left) These are photos but you can upload PDF, no problem.

Yeah I tried it and nothing happens. When I click the upload button nothing happens.

I have also tried this on two different computers. Same results.

I assume the PDF were not open by another program... you clicked on upload? (see photo) I just did a half dozen and they worked...

No and yes I clicked upload.

I just tried to upload some other file types and the site will not accept them. The site is not accepting any files at this point.

I think it might be in your setup... there's been plenty of things uploaded over night.



Not rubbing it in... just testing to make sure.

So, after you click on "Upload" - how long do you wait? ...and I assume nothing is showing up at the bottom section of the green box?

In any forum double click "+Post New Thread" first. The double click puts you in the "Advanced Mode".

Scroll down and click "Manage Attachments":

That will bring up this, click "Choose File":

Select the PDF and upload.

Let us know if that works for you.

Actually, that how my computer was - files added that way. Not sure when or how it changed BUT it points out one thing, Look at the purple box here, what does it say?? Do you have permission to post? (not sure how that gets turn on or off...)

I tried once again to do another upload and again nothing happens. When I click "Upload" nothing ever uploads. I waited several minutes and nothing. And yes nothing is showing up at the bottom section of the green box like you have circled in your photo.

Yeah I double checked all the steps and the problem is not user error. The site just won't accept any files from my computers. I even tested this on a different network and same result.

UPDATE!

Okay guys I found what the problem is. It turns out it is a DNS filter that is blocking the site from uploading my files. I didn't figure it out until I tested on a server that I have in the cloud running my business software. For some unknown reason the DNS filter does not play nicely with this site and I don't know why. If I ever find out I will be sure to let all of you know. I want to thank both old and tired and Xfaxman for helping me with this. It was your feedback that lead me to do the checking that I did. Thanks a lot guys!
