Bought this on Ebay for $52.Motor is stuck and so am I.I don't know what it is.It has been suggested that it is a David Bradley and a Bready. What I have found on the internet looks similar but the shape of the handles are different.Won't go get it till Sunday,so I have very little info but what was included in the ad."The only numbers that I can find are stamped into a plate: 04381 but you can't read any names. the motor is stuck, you can read F0345768 7274 on its tag but nothing else. "Any guesses?Bob /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

My dad had a David Bradley. The wheel setup and the drive setup (from what I can see) look like his DB. The arms and the motor appear different. I don't have a clue what year his was, but like it was 1950s.

On his, you raised a lever on the arms and that engaged a clutch on the drive. His only had one speed fwd, no reverse. The clutch was on the drive mechanism. The drive was gear to the wheels. The alxes had some racheting lugs, so you could push it forward and hear it go click click click click. Pulling backwards caused the axle to engage.

Hope this helps.

Hi
I have one that looks like the same as what you have see pic, but it was kinda dark in the shed and the pic is not good. this week I will try and get it outside. I have to move a lot of junk to get to it. on the plate it look like snapper but i wiped the plate off and I think everything came off except the numbers stampped into the name plate. maybe there will be other markings on the thing that will give us a clue. I have had this thing for 20 years and never used it, bought it at a ysrd sale for 25 dollars for the tires and never took them off. now you know why my nick is lazy.

Looks like the name plate says HONDA...I hate the thought of you going to ALL THAT trouble to dig it out.I'll have some more info Sunday.Wife thinks I ought to send in a picture of MY shed, but she is so dead set against my love of tractors that she refuses to even look at yours!I just wish the junk in mine were some of that high dollar steel. If your dry cleaning bill goes up this week, you can blame a little of that on the cost of hangers. Our plant buys a quarter of a million of them a month and the price has gone up 30% just since January of this year.We are toying with the idea of getting a million before the price jumps even more.Even more discerning is that we have a I-beam mill a mile across the bean feild and I am seening some wonderful old equipment going into the melt shop.Makes me wanna cry. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Hi
thats just a small sample every shed I have is packed like that, I never throw anything away. that might be a snapper tiller. I could be related to sanford and son I love junk and stuff. the only trouble is when you get so much stuff you know you have something but you don't know where to look and get tired of looking and go buy it then find it the next day while looking for something else. I can see another pole barn in my future.

Charlie.

Ya'know...the nagging,I can deal with..sort of.The part that I am having a hard time adjusting to is when she goes around behind me pickin' things up before I am through with them!!! I spend lotsa time looking for tools that I laid down two minutes ago.It would not take my four days to install a whirlpool tub if I didn't have to spend three of said days finding the hidden tools she "put away".I am way too old for Easter Egg huntin'.

Wonder what Lazy wants for that old rice bike? Probably will want extra for the dust and cobwebs. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi
what do you think they would be worth? I doubt if they're worth anything, one has a trashed motor and the tires are dry rotted on both bikes. its been 20 years since they were running.
they might be collector items by now. i have a couple of small old harley frames that would make a nice project bike for some kid.

I wish I still had my Dad's David Bradley. We had the layoff plows, disc, and one more that I can not remember the name of.

i am just glad dad got to see my bota before meeting the Lord face to face this year. You could see the pride in his eyes when he looked at the machine. He loved to work the potatoes with his DB.
