I have a kubota Bx25d and was wondering if it is powerful enough to run a post hole auger? What size auger 9 or 12 inch? Has anyone have any experience with this? I don’t want to damage the tractor.

I doubt you would damage the tractor. It would start to bog down before you could damage anything. What HP ratings are you seeing listed on post hole digger?

I drilled 50 holes or so for a fence 20 years ago with a B8200. I think it was around 16-18hp, and had 150 lbs of suitcase weights on the front.
It doesn’t really take a lot of horsepower to run an auger, but if you screw it into the ground even a much larger tractor is going to fail miserably. Be sure to read up on the subject first and your BX will be fine.

I have 14hp of hydraulic power on my L4060 & it runs a 12" auger fine. The hydraulic SSQA PHD is definitely a lot less powerful than the 25 PTO HP running my old 3pt PHD on my old L3200. Hydraulics have other advantages over the PTO, put available power on a CUT or SCUT isn't one of them. And you can dig holes fine with low HP if you go slower.
