Camp property found, now updates.

We are looking for a firewood person to dump a load for us at the parking lot. Put an ad on FB marketplace this am and did get some nibbles. Seems like lots and lots of guys are in this business..

As a seller, I hear horror stories of guys selling crap and I end up with the business. Most seasoned wood is not so be wary.

We drove out on wet roads and the temp was about 29 when we got to the parking lot ar dusk. Temps had dropped as we climbed away from the lake. Tried to start the 6x6 and found the ignition was froze. We had nothing in the truck to help and drove to the niehbors who was home and suggested using warm water to get it moving. That worked! And we now at camp and warming up at camp. New battery was hooked up and lights seem brighter than before. More in the am!

I'd spray a little WD 40 into the switch to displace any water. Have fun!

Overcast this morning here at camp and we got most of the tree cleared that fell at camp last time here. Being In the 20s is such good weather to be working in and no sun or wind to boot.

This new battery Has a super flat drain profile compared to the old one. Big plus.

Good day here clearing the road in (just a logging path). The young couple who live just down the road hiked out with their 2yo to visit. Was much fun and our 1st visitors ever.

They are staying at there grandfather's place as they looked for a house in town. They did find and purchased one, about 10 miles from where we live in Houghton. So sadly they won't be camp neighbors for long.

We got a dusting of snow again last night and plan to get more trail clearing done today. It's about 20 here this am and dead calm.

We seen insignificant snow here today which was fine by us, so we got more trail cleared and burned junk lumber at camp. Got enough done to make us happy and now dearest is making pasta as we sip on so, so Italian wine.

I've been working on the pace 16ft Journey trailer we got this summer. We found the wall tie-down positions to be rather worthless while none were on the floor for atv hauling so they are being moved there. We'll park this trailer at our camps parking lot as atv storage for the winter.

I'm a big fan of e-track. I've got two sticks down each wall and several sticks on the floor. It's crazy expensive at home centers and they only carry them in short lengths but a trucking supply will have them in 10' lengths at very reasonable prices.

They are e-track type 8ft long but I will need to patch them together to cover the trailers whole length. If folks are interested I can post picks of this project.

Some time ago, we purchase a complete tie-down kit for this e-track system. Here is a pic of D-rings on our machine which are 3/8 stainless and pass through holes in the main frame.. Plus this is what the inside of the trailer looks like at this point.
