Why doesnt John Deere offer factory installed cabs with a/c on the 4000 series tractors? I seen Kubota offers a/c cabs for their tractors. I would have thought that John Deere could offer that option, makes me kinda wish I had looked at Kubotas a little closer now befor buying.

Scott,
I to have wondered why the Green and the Blue don't off a factory type cab like the Orange. I am pretty impressed with the Kubota cabs, everything looks like a nice custom fitted design. The one I sat in the other day made me think that having a nice cab like this in the winter would be great. More seat time. DRY / WARM seat time.

Scott,
Did you do a search on cabs? At one time there was a post for a place that made the cabs for the 4000 series. I looked into one for my 4600 and it was around $3200. I will look at home on my computer tonight and see if I kept that link.

Scott,

Do a search under "4700????" and pull up the posts by John Miller III from 2/03/01. Very nice looking cabs from a canadian company called Jodale-Perry. Not sure if they make units for the 4000 series.

Scott,

To give you an idea of Jodale prices <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/nasd/docs/wi01700.html>http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/nasd/docs/wi01700.html</A>

Riding in style is going to cost a few $$$$

NH has plans for a cab on the Boomers. I am not sure when they will get to the US though but they are a large comfortable looking cab.

Hey tbarber, t 700lbs, isn't this going to make the tractor more top heavy than normal, and less stable on slopes?

Cowboy - I have one of the Curtis cabs and am somwhat disappointed in it. The fit of the unit to the fenders is a bit depressing - the unit when originally installed would bang off the ROPS when things got a little bumpy. The Dealer moved the cab forward to clear the ROPS but I now have a gap around the fenders and the rubber moldings are not holding real well. The cab is a bit noisy and certainly could use some more sound insulation but---- riding in warmth and out of the snow and rain is wonderful!!!!

Will attempt to attach pic of the Curtis Cab - haven't done this in awhile so don't throw rocks at me if this doesn't work.
