I was a bit intimidated by the L48 at first. However, after a few hours I got fairly comfortable. Can't believe the strength of the loader. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi Tach - nice tractor! After use use it a while and get comfortable with it, you'll be just as smooth as with your old one - probably smother.

Hope you'll tell us the story of those Mercs ! Original flathead v8's? About a hundred years ago when I was in high school, they were kings of the road. Oops, let on my advancing age there /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

BX22 to a L48!!!!!!!!!!! woooooo. Looks like someone skiped a bunch of steps inbetween. Now I got a big brother in NY to play with. That is a great looking tractor with that cozy warm cab. Glad to see some dirt on that new loader.

rbargeron....
I wish they had flatheads. No engines or trans. They are both waiting to be restored while my workshop is being built.
I'm thinking one original and one hotrod. Maybe a stroked out 351 in the later.

Already scooped dirt, snow and gravel. I haven't played with the backhoe yet. Still feeling a little sick from the flu.

Oh, nice! Very nice! Very, very nice! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

You *did* keep the BX-22 for a "backup," didn't you?

Great looking rig. The orange one that is.

We too have a merc to be rebuilt. '49 convertable with a bit of rust. It was a daily driver until 1965. Since then it has been on blocks in a wooden garage just waiting until we hit the lotto. Even if we hit the big bucks I think I would restore to original. The flathead (three spreed with OD) would run all day on a tank of gas. Of course that was when gas was a bit cheaper !

Sure hope that you kept the BX22 to drag that puppy out of what ever trouble that you manage to put it in...... Nothing beats the power to weight ratio of a BX!!! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
