BX25D Block heater question

Update...just got off the phone and my BX is on the road back to me! Yay!
Service guy said the block heater was bad and he didn't know why...hmmm. Anyway my BX will be back in her stall in a bit! :thumbsup:

And...it got PAINTED!

I know what you mean about reading instructions...seems we just want to use our "superior wits and mechanical excellence" when dealing with things that need "installing"

Very simple device. Rarely do they give trouble however I did have to replace one at -25C as it simply died of old age. It simply blew but I had on hand a magnetic heater that after 12 hours could not provide enough heat to help.
So much for magnetic heaters which actually cost more than frost plug units.
I used a 4000 watt construction heater to coax the engine to life until UAP could get a proper frost plug unit to the store.
I now keep a spare on the shelf! (running out of shelf space)

Just went out and plugged in the "new" block heater...hopefully, in an hour the engine will be toasty on this 2 below zero February morning!
