BX2360 and lifting logs

I just this last Friday broke down and bought a tooth bar for my FEL. Looking at it, I think it would to a fine job of scooping and holding logs for transport. It would go much faster to scoop up a log with the toothbar and bucket, vs having to strap a log to the FEL. Plus having the log in the FEL would allow you to lift the log into a pick up truck bed.

I think mine is a markham.

a tooth bar would come in pretty handy, I love mine in the short time that I have had it. Work great for removing weeds and brush too and the price isn't all that bad around $300 - $400.

Maybe this doesn't apply to the OP, as I didn't see mention of a backhoe, but my idea was, for my (future) B26THIRTY (my number "THREE" doesn't work on keyboard--LOL), to use a thumb, on the backhoe.

Am I crazy? I have a lot of 18" long by up to Thirty+ inch rounds, weighing up to 200 lbs. apiece. I thought I'd be able to put the splitter within "swing distance" of the hoe, and simply pick, swing and set the bucked pieces on/near the splitter.

I also thought I'd be able to drive around with a 200 lb. round clamped in the thumb/bucket, if I kept it closer to the back of the tractor--I figured I might have to put a couple of rounds into the bucket, for ballast.

Please poke holes in my plan, if you can? And if the OP's got a hoe, perhaps that would work for him, too?

Thanks,

My Hoe
