3-Point Hitch BX23 3Pt hitch problem! Need help again!

Go here and download your parts manual. Also get the loader and backhoe at the same time because if you go back to load the loader you have to reask for the BX.

Leejohn, I didn't see any link to go to download anything. Could you send me that and I will do that. The Manual, Loader, and Backhoe information will be helpful as well. I do not have those either. I did pick up an owners manual for the BX2350. The dealer said it was the same as the BX23, although I did see a few differences in the manual compared to my tractor.

You said that the descent knob/valve was working, did you also mean that when tighten down, the 3pt held the load? By locking the the port closed, you eliminate the 3pt valve.

Only other problem would be with the piston seals, or safety relief valve leaking. If you remove the safety relief and clean it, that will eliminate that. That leaves only the piston seals.

Hi JJ- The descent knob valve I believe is working but the 3pt arms still will not hold the load. If I lift the back blade it will go up but it will not hold in position and will drop immediately. I think it must be in the piston. I don't think it would be the relief valve because the FEL would drop if that wasn't working I would think.
If anyone would know if my thinking is correct or faulty on that let me know.

Have a section under Kubota where you select the tractor components you are interested in and they email a schematic.

Thanks for that advice. I did that and was able to download and print the schematics. That was a huge help and now I have a much better idea of what I am doing and how it works. Great advice. Thank you.

Hi Leejohn,

Thank you for that information. Well I finally got everything apart and sure enough the piston O Ring was damaged and the back up ring was broken in two. It was quite a job getting that apart. Kubota could have made it much simpler. I am going to contact the engineers from Kubota and tell them to redesign that mounting plate. Not that they would listen but I will try.

Thanks to all of you that helped me with the problem. I did learn alot though about the tractor. I actually am going to look at a couple other brands to see if they are a little easier to work on then this one.

JJ, that is what I basically did. I did it through the process of elimination. You were very helpful. Two different dealers said they never had that problem and hadn't heard of it either. Well I got the parts and it was all back together and it worked well. Then I started tackling another problem that was electrical. I think I have that figured out now as well and will have to order another part.
