BX2200 STALLING

Just ordered 2 Mr. Funnels
Never gave this much consideration before- guess I have been lucky with my fuel source!!!!!

Seems like gas engines burn off small quantities of water easier- with just some roughness- is this true??
Also- is it possible or advisable to add drygas to diesel fuel??

I have a Yanmar fuel filter equipped with a plastic bowl that I bought to try this out. This particular filter is typically used on their small diesels, like sailboat auxiliaries, and probably also used on their small tractors. Quite a nice unit & would fulfill the need for a small water separator, but I haven't figured out how to wriggle it into the small spaces of a BX2200 as a "primary" filter. Yet.

Full-size water separating filters (like Racors & such) are too big to fit, unfortunately.

what about parts from a JD 2210 or MF 2300 or other comparable competitor? anybody know what they use? I just went through this $20 song and dance myself Too much $ for such a common problem, must be a better way....
