BX2200 hydro pedal pivot access?

My hydro pedal is sticky, and the pivot won't take grease. I have to take it apart and clean up the pivot pin so I can get it to take grease again, but I can't figure out how to get to the pivot without tearing the tractor in half. Any clue?

You could try taking the zerk out and putting some penetrant in and letting it set a while.

I find that when a zerk won't take grease I put in a new one and that generally solves the problem. Doesn't cost much to try and may be easier than tearing the tractor apart. Just a thought.

One could try a grease fitting rejuvenator.

You fill it with penetrant,attach it to the zerk,and swat it with a hammer,forcing the obstruction out of the joint.

Google grease fitting rejuvenator for examples.

My BX22 takes grease VERY slowly. I thought mine wasn't taking any, but it does, Just so slowly I thought it wasn't. Not saying yours isn't plugged though.

I did remove the zerk, and it works fine. I even put in a new one - the pin appears to be tight around the fitting and I can't get the grease to go in. I think I hit it with some kind of penetrating lube, but I might be wrong. I'll have to try again - maybe a good soak with Kroil will do it.

Did you try putting grease in while rocking the directional pedal back and forth? Sometimes this helps in my limited experience...

Cool - how did you get the pedal off to put the grease inside the pivot? (my original question)
