I have searched both this site and the web but cannot find anything. Is there a foldable rops or roll bar for the bx1860 or 1850available anywhere? Has anyone put a hinge on theirs or found a quick release for the roll bar that actually looks nice? Thanks in advance for any responses.

It's my understanding that the 1860 is not available with folding rops. I've seen threads regarding hinging one and the concensus seemed to be that it wasn't a good idea. Why is it necessary? Overhead door issue?

Ahh, can't limb them? My rops is only a few inches taller than an average height adult, I think? Good luck, let us know if you find a solution.

windance, how do you feel about having a half fold down rops ? That's exactly what mine looks like- you might be able to buy the rops for bx24/bx25. Keep in mind, the rops looks taller then 1860's.

A half fold down would be perfect. I will measure them, but I think those tractors are wider than mine. Otherwise it is looking like I will need to mickey mouse a quick release for complete removal.

A good fabricator can fix you up with a sleeved system and through bolts. I am sure the safety police will tell you otherwise though.

I was thinking the sleeve deal might be a good idea, too. When I have done it myself there was always too much play and it would make noise. I think this would be better than just taking the thing off permanently.

That sort of thing is beyond my abilities too, but we have a friend who has fabricated stuff for us. Our ROPS was too tall and he removed a section, sleeved and welded it and you can't see where it was done. Of course it goes without saying, you don't want to remove much, they are tall for a reason. Making a removable or folding should not be a problem and there is an old thread on here about it.
