Price Check BX1500 price

I hesitate asking this because I'm sure it comes up all too frequently but I've done a search and cannot find a difinitive answer. And...it is the "pricing" forum so here goes!

What am I looking at for a bottom line price for a BX1500, 54" MMM, and a snow blower? I have the names of three local dealers that I intend to call today for a quote. Just wondering if you guys can give me some idea if what they give me is in line. Obviously $$$ is an issue with the spouse and I want to be sure I am getting a decent deal.

This forum is just great. There is nothing like reading "the real story" from others who actually use the machinery on a day in and day out basis.

I was quoted $8300.00 for a BX1500 with a 54" mmm. Also, around $1300.00-$1500.00 for a 48"-52" rear pto snowblower. I forget what brand name for the snowblower. A front mount snowblower will be quite a bit more expensive. The dealer in my area was talking about $2500.00-$3000.00 for a front mount snowblower. That's with the 4 way valve and quick attach linkage. I live in North Eastern Ohio and we receive lake effect snow off of Lake Erie from November-January. We had a 28" two day total of snow last month. I'm also considering on buying a BX1500 this spring. My dealer and most BX1500 owners on this forum say it has more than enough power to cut grass and remove snow. I will probably settle for a rear mount pto snowblower. The front mount is a little to costly for me.
