It's that time of the year, got around to finish the project.

I'm going to post more pictures in a few days & try to answer your questions.
Real busy right now... but I figured that you'll be interested in what the little BX could do.

That looks really nice. Looking forward to more pictures. Is that something you're going to add to you sales lineup

Nice job I like the brush guard and fender flares.
Seriously. It's one heck of a setup. Looks like an 9 year old prodigy looking at you from behind his welding mask and saying "I'm going to be an M9540 when I'm all growed up..."

And you believe him.

Hot.

I'm assuming it's running off the tractors hydrualics, curious on how fast and strong it is since the BX models don't have a big pump.

We're running a 2 stage 22GPM pump from the mid PTO. Runs very well at 1500-2000RPM takes around 8 sec stroke.

Bro-Tek will be making this kit available to mount the pump, also the light & hood guard will be out soon.

Check out the tank & the Hyd plumbming...there's a hint on a futur hydraulic PHD, the valve installed. :)

I'll try to get more pics with the pump layout.

OK, I'll ask...

What's that black tank and filter bolted to the top of the ROPS?

At first I thought it was a snorkel or air supply, so's you could get to those trees on the island :D

It's the hydraulic tank for the accessory mid mounted pump.

I would hate to be the one in the seat when there is a leak or that hydraulic filter becomes loose. That would worm you up quick!

Personally.....that thing has way to much junk on it for me. I would smash the he!! out of everything in some fashion or another. And yes, I would not want that hydraulic tank so close to me either.......

No thanks........

Thats not a pressure tank- - its a reservoir. There will be no pressure lines going to it.

Well Larry, obviously you have never gotten a "Hydraulic shower". It is not just the pressure but the heat will wake you up!:(

Oh, I thot you meant bore holes in you.

Larry......where in my post did I say a pressure tank??? I don't see that in there at all, do you? I am somewhat educated on hydraulics, so I wouldn't ever say that a reservoir is a pressure tank, they are completely different, as you well know too......

Still wouldn't want to be that close to that RESERVOIR......to hot for me!

i thought the purpose of a ROPS was to protect you in case of roll over, no?

so why would a 3 or four gallon supply of hyd fluid up really high make this tipping equation safer?

seems too high to just leave up there.

don't get me wrong, i think it looks GREAT, just sort of flys in the face of sense on the weight/height issue.

Bird1968,

Very interesting set up. Just wondering why you went with a bucket mounted set up for the splitter vs the more common 3PH set up? I would think the 3PH set up would be less complicated, and you could mount the hydro reserve tank somewhere on the splitter's frame. Curious to see what you end up making available for sale.

The reason for the FEL Splitter, I'm running the wood table cutter at the same time.
Great setup for 2 person.

I do like all kinds of comments & will keep you guys posted on any hyd showers.
I've got plans for the hyd post hole digger on the BH, & needed the aux hyd tank.

Back to work for me,
