BX skid plate?

After spending 4 hrs today replacing the hydro fan on my bx1850, I think its time for a skid plate. Most of the time I have the mmm attached. Are any of the plates, bro tek, bxpanded, compatible with the mmm? Any pros or cons to one or the other? Thanks

I have the factory skid plate on mine. Works great but the price K wants for it I would have made my own. Very simple bends with four holes.

I just installed the bxpanded plate on my bx25d, and it was really simple. However, it will not fit with the mower on. In fact, the back end of it hangs on the mower lift arms. Since I don't mow with the tractor, it works for me. Removal and reattaching the plate are easy enough that it should not be a deterrent to timely changing of filters and other maintenance. Maybe the Brotek will do what you need.

+1. I just put the bxpanded on my 25d and it could not have been easier

Mine is a BX2230, about 10 years old. The Bro-Tek one bolts on and stays on. There's a hole for the mower drive shaft, although mine rubs some. No idea about the newer ones, but I bet that is the same design point.

BXpanded on mine, easy on&off . But it's not a skid plate, it a belly protector that protects when the mmm is off.

I have the BX expanded on a bx 24 . I cut a half acre of bamboo down with it , I never had a problem , If I didnt have it I wouldnt have lasted 20 minutes

I also highly the BXpanded skid plate. I also use a MMM and I install the skid plate when the MMM is off.

I broke the HST fan even with the MMM on, so I put Bro-Tek on both of ours. both Bro-Tek and Bxpanded make great products..

Bxpanded on my 2360 ANYTIME the mower is off. Kit has two studs you install on initial install. Once those are in place you slide the front of the plate over those and clip the back to the mower lift arms, raise and lock in place. Super slick.
