BX PTO rpms

Bought my first PTO toy...tool this past weekend

for the BX25, a Fimco 50 gal, 3pt sprayer....now the questions

From everything I read the rear PTO runs at max 540 rpms with the mid running 2200 / 2400 max rpms.....at what rpms do I need to run the engine to achieve specific rpms for the rear and mid pto's?? Is there a cheat sheet somewhere?? The 6 roller pto pump runs at 540 rpms, what is the minimum engine rpms that I need to be at to gain 540 rpms at the rear pto.....I'm sure these are pretty simple questions but you gotta figure where the simple questions come from

The PTO engine speed will be in your tractor's manual. If I remember correctly it's 3200 engine rpm for the rated 540 pto speed.

certainly corrrect! However since its just a sprayer, you should test it out with just water in tank and drive around in your driveway experimenting with the engine speeds. Going slower then rated RPM should'nt hurt the roller pump. It just giving you a different amount of volume being pumped. However the caveat here is that most equipment runs/works better at the rated speed it was designed for.
