BX Owners -- how much side-to-side play do you have in your steering cylinder? Not in the tie rods, etc, but in the main rod that comes out of the cylinder itself?
I have noticed that mine has maybe 0.010" to 0.015" of play in it -- enough that I can actually feel it "clunk" when I shake the tractor from side to side with the FEL off the ground, or when I wiggle the front wheels, for that matter. You can actually see the seals moving with the rod. I called my dealer yesterday to ask if this was normal, and he came out today to look at it. He said he would check with a Kubota tech and see what the specs are, and if needed would install shim washers to take up the slack, or replace the whole cylinder if necessary.
