Wandering how much counter weight most are using on rear of tractor when using loader. I generally just use about 60 lbs of old lifting disc's about at end of 3 point arms. Haven't had any issues just Wandering if people use more.

Several factory recommendations I've seen are for a counterweight about 2/3 of loader lift capacity.

My BX definitely feels better with a 400 lb weight than with a 200 lb implement. The BX loader manual says not over a 420 lb counterweight.

The Kubota ballast box sold for the BX says to load it with 400#. The box itself is probably 100#.

I didn't use much counterweight the first few hundred hrs on my bx and I had premature steering cylinder failure. It is important to keep heavy weight off that front axle if you are going to be doing a lot of turning.

This time of year I use my three point blower at about 400 pounds for a counter weight. Adds a bit of length to the rig but it works.

I do the same with my BX2200. Rear mount blower and keep the loader on for getting into the coves during the winter time... wouldn't have it any other way.

I mostly use my RTV 900 for my 1000 ft of driveway when snow falls.. Use bx and loader if banks get high to push them back some. Other than that tractor and loader use just everyday stuff that arises. Lately our winters have not been as bad.

Same here. Have not used the tractor to clear the driveways in 2 years.

I do have a nice walk behind snow blower. I mostly use it for exercise.

Only time I use the tractor is for true snow emergencies, where it would be silly to use a walk behind machine. Basically more than 2 1/2 feet of snow.

Are your rear tires (liquid) loaded? Might not be a bad idea in itself to get them loaded if they aren`t.
