Price Check BX-2660 Price Check

My local dealer quoted me $15,100 for the 2660 with MMM and loader out the door, tax included.

How is that price? I haven't checked the other two dealers within driving distance yet.

I gave $12,500 for a 2360 with FEL and 60"MMM and turf tires, if that helps any, about a month ago.

Too high. I have a BX2660, box blade, and rotary cutter. Bought all together about a year ago for $14K. Others have received even better deals.

You guys keep saying too high. A lot depends on location. Upnorth they are WAY more then in AL, KY here.

I called 6 or 8 dealers around me today and the $15,100 was the second lowest price. The lowest was $14850, but a 2 hour drive. This is all post tax pricing. The highest was $15,8xx before sales tax.

Sounds like your local dealer may be the place to go. I don't get as excited as some over a little money one way or the other as my local dealer has saved me any difference through service and implements.

I agree, my BX2660 plus FEL, ballast box, box blade, cab and drag harrow cost me $30,000

While I could have saved a bit of dough by buying "further from the house", I bought local and am very pleased I did. I've had a lot of problems with the tires and the dealer has been spot on. Being a rookie tractor owner they have also been helpful in training. Local for me was worth a couple hundred bucks on my 2660, 60"mmm, loader and tiller. Yours seems like a fair price.

A couple hundred bucks would not sway me away from a local dealer. A thousand dollars certainly would.

If I read his post correctly, he went local and saved money. That's win-win. :thumbsup:

Local dealer 8 miles away was about $250 higher than another dealer 2 hours away. Wasn't worth it. Now I will probably have better service since I bought it from him. He's probably more likely to sway in my direction if there is a grey area on a warranty claim.

I just took delivery about 15 minutes ago. It's 40 and raining outside of course. No playtime for me this afternoon. I need to go back out to the barn and get the manual out of the seat. At least I can read about the controls this evening.

Hey, it quit raining.. took a little firewood up to the house. Getting used to the foot controls is going to take a little time. On the other mower, the fwd and rev pedals were side by side. This one has the toe/heel thing going. The brake pedal is really high too compared to what I'm used to and you actually have to use it. On the mower, when you stepped off the direction pedals, it was almost like brakes. You stopped. This rolls on quite a bit and requires that you reach for the brake pedal.

Yup, the BX 60 series do indeed "run on". Actually, I came to like it. Enjoy your new BX.

Keep your loader low to the ground when you have weight in it and are moving. Also, pick up a box blade, back blade or whatever for leverage on the 3 pt. Really helps the whole teeter totter thing.

Same here; my wife was unhappy with the different pedal arrangement as well as "run on" between our old BX2200 and the BX2660 until she used it the first full day and we now both prefer the xx60 Series. We only need to use the brake however when parking.

Congratulations!!! I had a BX2350 that had the abrupt stop in reverse and traded it for a BX2660 with the slight run on. After using it a bit you'll get used to using the pedal to stop it and not use the brake. It's different than what you had and it just takes time to grasp the difference. :thumbsup:

That is adjustable in two places. There is a spring, but hard to get to, also a adjustable slot by the damper cyl. The manual tells you to see dealer.
