Backhoe BX 25 backhoe?

Hi everyone.
Had a fire on Thanks Giving. lost my shop with my baby (BX25) in it! I had it set up with my blower on it for the winter.
Backhoe was off in the lean-to. Well needless to say, I now have a backhoe off a tractor that only had 53 hrs. on it. I have ordered my new tractor, should be ready on Wed.
Being it is another BX25, I don't really need 2 B.H.'s. I was thinking of possibly making it into a tow behind type like they sell thru Northern Tool.
Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful, or if anyone is interested in it let me know.

Why not just sell it? There's gotta be somebody out there looking for a BH25 backhoe for some reason.

BTW, that picture is just tragic.

Oh no... I can't imagine losing my shop! What happened? And was there no way to just buy the BX w/o BH?

I don't think it would be hard to set that up, but I really do not see why bother. After the new machine gets here would you ever really use it. On the other hand it would make it a much more easy item to sell and I think would add to its value greatly.

If you do end up doing it I would like to see how your project progresses.

Just get the snow off that BX..it looks like most of that damage will just buff out.

Undetermined cause of fire according to ins. investigator. Most likely my ceiling heater. Can't buy BX25 without -comes standard TLB.

KTAC gave me what I paid for in 2012 minus $250.00 deductible, You can't beat that with a stick! It only had 53 hrs on it

Maybe you can modify the bh to work as a wood splitter. Or maybe as a boom string trimmer style.

Radioman- Now that's something I never thought of. That might be something to do with it when my welders/etc. get replaced.

Ahh... I thought you could buy a BX2370 with FEL only and then put your 'old' BH on. Maybe it doesn't work that way? Maybe there is something different between a BX2370 and a BX25D?

Yea I looked into that before, you need to get the backhoe frame that the bx25d has. It looks like a lot of work!

RAECOREP, sorry to hear about this,
you may not be able or want to, but you should see if you can keep or remove the subframe for the hoe,
you may have better chances of selling it if it came with the quick attach frame,
it could then be modified for another type machine, just a thought.
