Anyone know if you buy bulbs for you headlights at say pepboys, or autozone instead of buying from the dealer..

If the bulb socket base still has the identification numbers you should have no problem finding them as all bulbs made have an identification number.

I don't have a BX, but I swapped my head and tail lights for LEDs. On my B series, the replacement bulbs fit an 1156 style socket. I'd bring a bulb with you to the auto parts store and (hopefully) match it up to a common bulb. I wouldn't even think of going to the Kubota dealer and pay for a factory replacement bulb.......... my pockets aren't deep enough.

They're mighty proud of their bulbs. I was having trouble with my flashers and replaced them with LED's too and never had any more trouble.

I bought mine at a commercial truck accessory store (commonly referred to as a 'chrome shop'), but I've seen some at auto parts chain stores such as Auto Zone. Cheapest option would be to see if an 1156 or similar bulb fits your socket. LEDs would save you some juice so you can add auxilliary lighting later without taxing your dynamo or alternator. Mine were somewhere between 10 and 20 dollars each, depending on the style of bulb, but use a fraction of an amp each.

I had installed HID's in my old BX22 and want ot replace my BX24 bulds since they are poor. Problem is there are no part numers to cross-ref on the bulbs..

Maybe you just mean halogens?
