BX 22 overall lenght?

I am looking at a number of tractors. The BX 22, the BX 2200 and the F60 series tractors. Size will be a big part of my decision. My garage is 13 feet and 10 inches long by 7 feet wide and have an 8 feet door.

Can anyone who owns a BX 22 let me know the lenght of the tractor with the FEL and with the backhoe completely turned to the right or left side (to gain space). I suspect that the backhoe in the centered position would be too long.

I loaded mine in my 10'x6' trailer with no problems at all. You should be fine. I'll try to measure mine tonight when I get off of work for you though.

Wow, your BX22 fits on a 10 x 6 trailer? The literature says that the BX22 with FEL & BH attached are 173" What kind of trailer do you have, how much did it cost, and where did you get it. Thanks

I know my BX2200, FEL, and weight bar fits on my 12' trailer with about 6-12" to spare! I would think that when the backhoe is rested on the trailer bed, the BX22 would soak up a large part of a 16' trailer

I can't get out to the barn to measure the tractor because I'm alone with my two young kids. The trailer is just a regular 10'x6' utility trailer. I used one of my Jeep Cherokee's to pull it home from the dealer. I raised the FEL and pulled in FEL first. Then I angled the BH to the furthest position and closed the gate. I had room to spare but not much. It was on a 3500# single axle trailer so I went extra slow The trailer cost me $800 brand new a year or so ago. I bought it at Dinwiddie Tractor I believe.

I put my bx22 on a 16' (bed lenth) daul axle trailer and have about a foot or so to spare by the gate with the backhoe in its normal position. I would say without measuring backhoe to left or right you would need at least 13'

Will never fit in your garage at that size. First off that backhoe is heavy and you aren't going to be pushing it around once you detach it, and it takes almost an 8' bay (width) to get it off as you have the stabilizers out and down. Then, if you pull the tractor out and come in again frontways to drop the loader off as close to the backhoe as you can get it, you'll have just enough room after dropping it to park the tractor just behind it in a 20' garage! I was amazed at how much room it hogged in my garage. Even with everything not detached and driven straight in, it needs about 17' of length. I'm planning on building a tractor shed for mine and am thinking 16" x 20' as a minimum.

I guess I should have mentioned that the garage for my tractor is attached to a two car garage. Bassically it is all open space (one big garage). At the end of my double garage I also have ample room to store the BH and FEL should I need it. I was just wondering if the BX22 would fit in the third garage with FEL and BH (fully turned to th eleft or right).

In addition to telling me the total lenght of the BX22 with FEL and BH fully turned right or left, could someone let me know the height with the ROPS. I would go to my dealer to take measurements but he is sold out and won't get any BX22's until September. Hot little item! He has 5 people on a waiting list.

ROPS folds...takes about 30 seconds. Hardest part is to REMEMBER to fold it before you drive in!

i just ran out to the garage......with the FEL on the ground and the pins in the backhoe i measure 14'-2" approx. when i take the FEL & BH off, i remove the FEL first driving all the way to the back wall of the garage......then back the BH in between the FEL arms, this tightens up the space a little more. it still takes up alot of room,but better than the alternative. outside. hope this helps

Turning radius?

I'm getting a pole barn built near a round pen / corral. I want to build it as close as possible to the round pen, but still leave room for the tractor (BX2200, with loader and/or rotary cutter attached). The pole barn runs north/south, and the round pen is on the west side. On the west wall of the barn, right across from the gate in the round pen, is a barn door. It will probably be 12x10. The round pen gate is 16' long (yes I know its too long), so it has to be able to open all the way without hitting the barn, but not only that but I really need another four or five feet more than the 16' clearance because I may need to walk horses between the fully open gate and the barn wall. The barn door will be a slider or garage door, so it will not be swinging out.

So if I'm coming out of the barn on my tractor, through the barn door and heading for the round pen, then make a right or left turn to drive between the pen and barn, how much room do I need to make that turn?? Is the 21' enough? With a loader and cutter attached?

What do you think of my idea to have the barn door directly across from the round pen gate? Good, bad?
