BX-22 Loader Capacity Question

I have a BX-22 and was looking at the specs today for the LA211 loader. I'm curious - the loader is rated at lifting 460 lbs at "full height"...(cylinders extended) does that mean it could lift more/less at a lower height (cylinders not extended)...say a foot off the ground?

Is there a calculation of sorts that would apply? Since I know (by reading here) that a lot of you guys have mechanical/hydraulic experience, I though someone might know how to interpret it. Thanks!

SPECIFICATIONS:
Maximum lift height 71.3" (1810mm)
Lift Capacity at full height 460 lbs. (210 kg)

I have lifted quite a bit more than the published loads, at low angles. It has been moving bags of concrete, etc. I don'y know how far you can go, but for sure if you keep the bucket low you can handle more. Just be sure you have the BH or rear weights on to balance the machine.

WOW, 720? I would have never guessed it could handle that much...I can see why they give you the load rating for full height; just wanted to get a handle on what lower height could be.

As with most mechanical devices, the engineers always build in a safety factor. I'm not sure about Kubota's policies, but our engineers usually strive for a 100% safety factor. Case in point: we recently developed a pogo-stick (that's right a pogo stick) and though the piston is rated for a max rider weight of 160 lbs, we designed it to survive 320 lbs. Makes the lawyers happy too.
