bx 22 exhaust tip

i have a bx 2200, and the exhaust gets black soot on the loader frame, bright idea!!!,
when i checked out the new bx 22, i noticed a neat little sheet metal tip on the exhaust outlet, held on with a hose clamp, had to wait four months for the dealer to get his parts listing for the 22, ordered it last tuesday, called today, he said it was in. i stopped by on the way home from work to pick it up. well you could have knocked me over with a feather. the price, $48.00 and change. i left it there, he will check monday and see what's going on.

Good old yankee ingenuity and thanks for sharing this. Seems simple to you but complex to others, much like it appears to wrought'n harv so to speak - easy to do and much longer to explain.. -

OK got to ask, what size pipe, how long, do you have a grill guard? Do you think extending it will cause back pressure problems to clear the grill guard??

One inch copper tube about two inches long
two rivets to hold the forty-five connector.

No I do not have a grill guard.

I do not think that there will be any issues with back pressure. If you look at the factory pipe, it flares
coming out of the muffler. Adding this on is just like those wicket cool chrome tailpipes extenders we used to add./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
