Charging valve / hydraulic accumulator

I never notice anything cycling. What does it sound like, just a change in engine RPMs?

There isn't really a big noise. I notice it most by a momentary freeze in the steering, accompanied by a small thunk. If my machine is at idle, I can hear a brief and small drop in rpms, but not at higher throttle settings. Once you have that, it is pretty easy to open the hood and just watch the charging valve spring move in and out.

Thunk sounds about right to me.
I felt a little tick in the steering wheel when the thunk happens.
